Meet Eric & François

We have been together since 2015. We live in wonderful Quebec City. Eric is a hospital pharmacist and François is a graphic designer. As you can see, we have completely different professions. If we were to compare our couple to a brain, Eric would be the left hemisphere, rational while François would be the right, rather artistic. We believe that this makes our couple strong, dynamic, and complimentary. We are a united and strong couple, who love to have fun, and laugh and are always looking for new experiences and projects.
We are very excited to be able to evolve our couple at the family level. This represents for us the opportunity to transmit our values of openness, equality and kindness.
As a future same-sex family, openness to diversity and difference is a fundamental value. We strongly believe in a society based on diversity, inclusion and openness to others. Although we like to project ourselves into the future with our child, the basis of everything will be to be present for him to share his joys and sorrows, his successes, and failures and to give him all the love in the world.
In everyday life, we are driven by different projects. Whether it’s working to make our home in our image or traveling, we like to plan and undertake different challenges. Traveling and discovering the world we live in is one of the experiences we look forward to sharing with our child.
While there is a lot of unknown, we look forward to parenthood with joy. For each of our families, this will be the third grandchild. Our parents and siblings will be delighted to welcome a new member. Our different circles of friends, too, will be very enthusiastic to be able to count a new face! We have a strong and tightly knit social network that we can count on to ask our questions about the different challenges ahead with our child. We are excited to think about when we can introduce our child to our loved ones.
We started the process of starting our family in the fall of 2020. At the time, we had no idea what different steps we had to go through to achieve our family dream. Although sometimes complex, we took the time to select an extraordinary woman who agreed to donate her eggs with which we were able to create embryos. We are dazzled and touched by the generosity and open-mindedness of women that will allow us to create our family.
In 2021, we were matched with an amazing surrogate. In 2022, we communicated with her and were present with her throughout the process. Unfortunately, after an unsuccessful 3rd transfer, we were forced by the fertility clinic to stop our journey with her, in order to increase our chances of success for the future.
We are therefore ready, today, to relaunch this great adventure in the hope of being able to find a new surrogate. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of carrying our first child. We want to offer a positive and rewarding experience in love, transparency, and respect. With us, laughter and good times guaranteed!
